As a founder, CEO, and board director, Kahlil Byrd (KB) has successfully launched and scaled technology and data-enabled platforms across national politics and fintech. He writes and speaks extensively about cross-partisan politics, electoral reform, entrepreneurship, and stakeholder capitalism. He is the founder and CEO of Invest America, a product development and advisory firm focused on solving major societal problems using data, research, strategy, and organizational design and launch. KB recently co-founded Shur, an InsurTech/Fintech startup focused on eliminating the student loan default crisis in the United States. For 15 years, KB has helped build and drive organizations throughout democracy and cross-partisan reform. He was the founding CEO of Americans Elect, a $45 million national initiative to re-imagine the presidential nominating process. His service also includes the boards of With Honor, Bridge Alliance (Fmr.), and Take Back Our Republic (Fmr.); and the advisory boards of the Committee for Responsible Federal Budget’s FixUs Initiative and American Promise (Fmr.). He is a graduate of Morehouse College and Harvard Kennedy School.
