LISA LEWIN

 
 

Lisa Lewin is the CEO of General Assembly. She is a strategist and operating executive with 25 years of experience leading and advising private, public, and nonprofit sector initiatives. She is co-founder and managing partner of Ethical Ventures, a New York City based management consulting firm, where she advises some of the world’s most ambitious social enterprises and mission-driven companies.

Before Ethical Ventures, Lisa was managing director of technology at Pearson, where she led a 1000-FTE product team spanning six continents. Her prior roles include president of teacher education at Pearson, vice president of strategic publishing at McGraw-Hill, management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, and senior research project director with The NPD Group.

Lisa serves on the boards of the Wikimedia Foundation, the Center for Responsive Politics, and DoSomething.org. She received a BS from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.

Originally from southern Illinois, Lisa lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
