SEAN BURTON
Sean is the co-founder and CEO of Cityview, a Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm focused on building and acquiring multifamily housing across the United States. Since co-founding Cityview in 2003, he has led the firm’s mission to create vibrant urban communities while delivering strong returns.
Before Cityview, Sean served as Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Strategy at Warner Bros. Earlier in his career, he practiced law in the real estate and corporate groups at O’Melveny & Myers LLP and served in the White House during the Clinton Administration.
In 2022, Sean was appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the federal nominee to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors, which oversees Washington Dulles and Reagan National airports. From 2013 to 2021, he served as President of the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, where he oversaw the $20 billion modernization of LAX.
Sean also served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve. He is the co-chair of the Los Angeles Coalition, a group of business leaders focused on economic growth and job creation, and he is slated to chair the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce in 2027.
He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
